Technology is a wonderful thing… normally that is. Newer things, being developed in the techno-world are moving way too fast sometimes for most people to keep up with, and if you don’t stay in the loop you’ll find out the hard way just how many memory holes you have!
I've always loved messing around with computers. I started in the 70’s when they were bigger than 5 or 6 side by side refrigerators/freezers, and then into the 90’s when all I had was an Atari 65E with a cassette tape recorder for a hard drive and had to type commands line by line for an hour just to make it play a simple solitaire card game or “Pong”!
Pong hahaha!
Being online in the 70’s meant it was your turn to do the chore of hanging clothes on the clothes line! We couldn't wait to go outside just to… play! Now we can’t wait to go online just to play, or to keep up with the kids, I mean that’s where you’ll find them most of the time anyways!
Times have changed that’s for sure, and time has changed things as it’s supposed to do. But being a kid isn’t so easy now days as it was 14,000 years ago when I was growing up! There was still kid drama then, but more on the lines of worrying if you could run fast enough to get your foot back on the can before some kid ran up to kick it, or getting your mouth washed out with soap for using the “F” word when they did, and I don’t mean “fudge”!
FaceBook used to be when some creep slammed a book closed on your face, now it’s where you’ll meet your teenager’s boyfriend or girlfriend and find out they're having sex and how often, what their favorite position is, if they like flavored condoms or not and all the other grubby little secrets you didn't know about your sweet little angels!
If you're real lucky you might even get to see the half nude “selfies” they took of themselves with the $500 camera phone you bought them for their birthday! I swear I can hear all the cyber screams from parents and grandparents across the globe when they stumble onto one of those gems! Hahaha!
Nonetheless I've grown fond of computers, and you should be glad I did, because if I didn't have one I wouldn't be able to twist so many minds at the same time! Think of how boring life would be if your mind couldn’t get twisted every couple of weeks! You’d go mad!!! You're welcome!
Speaking of going mad… as I said, I like messing with computers, as long as they work correctly that is. Everything’s fine until you have to delve into the ‘Cyber Abyss’ to fix something! I've just spent the last five days in “Cyber Hell”, only getting about three or four hours sleep a night, because I had a major computer crash that took me by surprise, and left me without the means to twist your mind in this issue!
I know... it was scary!
Wading through the cyber hell fires with my cyber shield, gilded with my cyber sword I prevailed in slaying all the cyber hell demons that possessed my system files! One by one I took them down, screaming as they would I showed no mercy! Slashing and stabbing, hacking and cracking, “Away with you demons! Away with you all!”
THAT was intense!
