“Row-Row-Row-Your-Boat
Gently-Down-The-Stream
Merrily-Merrily-Merrily-Merrily
Life-Is-But-A-Dream!”
Now that I've got that kiddies’ song stuck in your head for the rest of the day, have you ever really read the ending lyrics?
“Life-Is-But-A-Dream!” Really? Hmm… gonna have to investigate that one!
Well there are people who believe that we are really spiritual beings having a physical experience, and not the other way around. If this is true then would life just be a dream and if so what would happen if you woke up from that dream… would you be dead or would you still be alive? What would happen if you had a different dream and you ended up as a three toed giant transvestite Cyclops midget? Is it still a dream, or a friggen nightmare?
I don’t really think that everyone is gently rowing their boats down the stream either; I've met some that don’t even have oars! Others arms are flailing about so fast that all they do is splash around in circles a lot! I think I would prefer at least a trolling motor to get that friggen dream over with!
I’m not kidding either!
And if life is but a dream, doesn’t that really mean we are all sleeping through life? Hmm… that would explain some people’s problems with their lives, but not all. And another thing, if life is but a dream, does that mean we only dream that we’re dreaming when we dream that we are asleep? So many questions…
Since it’s near impossible for us to control a dream, that would explain why it’s so hard for most of us to get through life unscathed! What about the people with Narcolepsy? These people can have brief, uncontrollable bouts of very deep sleep, sometimes with an [/ezcol_1half]
inability to move! Does this mean they are having several physical experiences in the same dream lifetime? It’s so confusing…
I've been accused of being narcoleptic, and even though it’s true that I can fall asleep anywhere and at anytime, even during a conversation, and just because I've been known to fall asleep on the crapper for a couple hours at a time doesn’t make me a bad person does it? Falling asleep is easy, staying asleep is not! Sleeping heavily has been referred to as being dead to the world, so if life is just a dream, does that mean I die when I physically fall asleep and then have a dream that I’m awake?
Now I like sleeping, even if it’s narcoleptic sleep, sleeping is good! However sleeping while approaching a railroad crossing is not good! It’s the landing on the other side after being airborne for a few seconds that tends to be the rude awakening!
AAAAHHHHH!!! WAKE UP DAMNIT!
Sort of gives you the experience of sleeping while landing an airplane! Not to mention how terrified you are when you wonder if there was a train coming or not at the time of takeoff!
I’m not kidding either!
Changes the song to;
“Drive-Drive-Drive-Your-Car
Harshly-Over-The-Tracks
Misery-Misery-Misery-Misery
Life-Is-Like-An-Axe!”
